Bayfront Baby Place Expands Educational Offerings for New Moms and Families

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, FL (November 20, 2019) – Beginning this month, Bayfront Health Port Charlotte has added two new classes to the lineup of courses already offered monthly to prepare mothers and families before and after the birth of a child. New classes include infant massage and a sibling’s course.
“Having a baby is one of the most exciting and rewarding times in a woman’s life,” said Ami Tucker, Director of Women and Newborn Services at Bayfront Health Port Charlotte. “There is a lot involved to prepare for this big day so we try to provide moms and families with the resources and tools they need to be successful.”
In addition to infant CPR, tours, childbirth education, baby care and safety, and a breastfeeding support group that is offered monthly, now families will also have the opportunity to participate in:Infant Massage: In this free class, attendees will learn massage techniques to help soothe and relax infants while promoting bonding time.
Sibling Class: This free class is geared to prepare big brother(s) and sister(s) for the arrival of a new family member.
